1. Who we are

Night Shift Golf, a brand of Señor Susan Management Co., runs skins events on select Friday nights at The Lakes at El Segundo, California, and the website at nightshiftgolf.com. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Night Shift Golf. We are the business responsible for the personal information described here.

2. Information we collect

In the last twelve months we have collected the following categories of personal information. The CCPA category name is listed with the specific details we actually collect.

Identifiers
First and last name, email address, mobile phone number, your emergency contact’s name and phone number, your Instagram handle if you give it, and the IP address of the device you browse from.
Commercial information
The Friday you signed up for, entry amount, refunds, and your event history with us. Card payments are processed by Square; we receive a confirmation and the last four digits, never your full card number.
Golf and event information
Your golf name and walk-up song if you give them, your hole-by-hole scores, skins won, team results, prizes and payouts. Results and names (or your golf name) are posted publicly on the live board, on this site and on our social accounts.
Payout and tax information
The payout account you choose (Venmo, Cash App or Zelle handle and the name on it). If you ask for a 1099-MISC: your legal name, business name if any, and mailing address. Your Social Security or taxpayer ID number is never entered on this site; see Sensitive personal information below.
Internet or network activity
Pages viewed, referring links, approximate location derived from IP, browser and device type, collected through standard web analytics.
Audio and visual information
Photos and video taken at the event, which we may use in recaps and promotion. Tell us at check-in if you would rather not appear.
Sensitive personal information
The one exception is your Social Security or taxpayer ID number. If your winnings reach the IRS reporting threshold, we collect it through a secure W-9 request after the season, never on this site, and use it only to file the required tax form. We do not collect driver’s license numbers, precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, health, biometric, union membership, or the contents of your private messages. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose beyond what the CCPA permits without notice.

3. Where it comes from

Almost all of it comes directly from you — the registration form, payment checkout, text or email exchanges, and playing in the event. We also receive transaction confirmations from our payment processor, aggregate traffic data from our analytics and hosting providers, and occasionally scoring information from the golf course staff who help run the night.

4. How we use it

We use your information to register you and take payment, build pairings and tee sheets, run the skins game, calculate and pay out prizes, contact you about the Friday you signed up for, reach your emergency contact if something happens on the course, issue tax forms where required, issue refunds, keep records of entries and payouts, post results, send updates and marketing if you opted in, understand how the site is used, and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

5. How we share it

We disclose personal information for business purposes to service providers who work on our behalf under contract: our payment processor (Square), our spectator ticketing platform (SimpleTix), email and text messaging platforms, our website host and analytics providers, the service we use to collect W-9 forms, and the host golf course for tee sheet and course operations. Your emergency contact’s details go only to event staff and first responders, and only when needed. Names (or golf names) and results appear publicly on the live board and in recaps. We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, to enforce event rules, or in connection with a sale or transfer of the business. Sponsors receive aggregate participation numbers, not your contact details, unless you opt in to hear from a specific sponsor.

6. No sale of personal information

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined by California law. We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve months, including the personal information of anyone under 16.

7. How long we keep it

Registration, payment and tax records are kept for seven years to satisfy tax and accounting requirements. Scoring and payout records are kept as part of the event history. Contact details stay on our list until you opt out or ask us to delete them. Analytics data is retained in aggregate. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete or de-identify it.

8. Your California rights

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights.

Right to know. Request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, our purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclosed it to.
Right to delete. Ask us to delete the personal information we hold, subject to exceptions such as completing a transaction or keeping required financial records.
Right to correct. Ask us to fix inaccurate personal information, including a misspelled name or an out-of-date phone number.
Right to opt out. Direct us to stop selling or sharing your personal information. We do not sell or share it, so there is nothing to opt out of — but the right stands if that ever changes.
Right to limit use of sensitive information. The only sensitive information we hold is a taxpayer ID, collected for tax reporting and used for nothing else.
Right to non-discrimination. We will not deny you entry, charge you a different price, or give you a lesser experience for exercising any of these rights.

9. How to submit a request

Email info@nightshiftgolf.com with the subject line "Privacy request," or call 559-607-3475. Tell us what you want us to do and use the email or phone number you registered with so we can verify you; if we cannot match your request to a record, we may ask for one more piece of information such as the date you played. We confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days, and will tell you if we need up to another 45. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission from you.

10. Marketing and opt-out

Texts and emails about pairings, payouts and upcoming Fridays are opt-in. You choose at sign-up and nothing turns on by default. To opt out, reply STOP to any text, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or email us and we will take you off the list. Message and data rates may apply. We will still send you transactional messages about a Friday you have paid for, such as your confirmation, a tee time change or a weather cancellation.

11. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technology that are necessary for the site to work, to remember your registration in progress, and to understand how people find and use the site. We use Google Analytics (traffic and page analytics) and Microsoft Clarity (heatmaps and session recordings of clicks, scrolling and page navigation; form entries and card details are not recorded). We also keep a simple first-party page and click counter on our own server; it does not identify you and is not shared. We do not run advertising trackers or sell your data. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; parts of the registration flow may not work if you do. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we do not load Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity or our own counter.

12. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, payments run through a PCI-compliant processor, and access to registration records is limited to the people who run the event. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to us.

13. Minors

Night Shift is a 21+ event and the site is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Alcohol at Night Shift events is sold and served by the host venue, not by Night Shift Golf. The venue is responsible for alcohol sales, service and age verification under its own license and policies.

14. Changes to this policy

We review this policy at least once a year and will update the effective date above when it changes. If we make a material change to how we use your information, we will post a notice on the site and, where required, contact you directly.
